Public Relations Account Director

We are currently seeking a seasoned communications professional for the position of Account Director.

This position requires an individual with the following:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an agency environment.
  • Highly-motivated team player capable of fostering creativity and innovation while also leading account teams to reach exceptional goals in a client-facing role.
  • Strong healthcare communications background, including experience with multi-faceted patient education, advocacy, CSR or thought leadership campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific data and emerging peer-reviewed research into compelling communications framed around healthcare issues, medical meetings and client milestones.
  • Proven track record of creating, managing and sustaining integrated consumer and thought leadership campaigns that incorporate earned, paid and digital strategies.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage a diverse client portfolio of large, mid-size and small healthcare-focused accounts.
  • Maintain client relationships by managing day-to-day account activity, providing strategic client counsel and presenting BRG as reliable and trusted partner at all times.
  • Ensure high-quality written communications for a variety of audiences (healthcare professionals, influencers and consumers)
  • Develop strategic client positioning, integrated communications programs and proactive account planning to retain client roster and identify opportunities for incremental growth.
  • Oversee team on tactical program execution, messaging and content development, innovative and creative plan development, media relations, industry trend spotting, social strategy, competitor/industry analysis and reporting, and event management.
  • Manage client programs, timelines, team deliverables, budgets and quarterly planning to exceed client expectations and goals.
  • Identify and implement staff development opportunities for team members.
  • Proactively build relationships with media, online influencers, professional associations, advocacy partners and other relevant external audiences.
  • Provide accurate and timely client relations, team and partner management.

Account Coordinator

We are currently seeking an entry level communications professional for the position of Account Coordinator.

This position requires an individual with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
  • 1+ years of PR experience via internships; agency experience working with clients a big plus
  • Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for details, strong writing and communication skills
  • Creativity, self-motivation and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Problem-solving capabilities and inclination to seek answers to address challenges

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Conducting reliable and accurate media and blogger research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development) and providing teams with industry-relevant news and research
  • Securing client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets
  • Producing strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications and general business writing
  • Monitoring clients’ social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Collaborating with vendors and managing work product
  • Producing client status reports and briefing materials for meetings
  • Actively participating in client/internal meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions

Full-Time Public Relations Intern

We are looking for a full-time paid intern to work at BRG.

The qualifications required for this position include:

  • A recent college graduate or current undergraduate student with a strong interest in the field of public relations
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Solid computer skills
  • Previous internship

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Tracking media and managing clip books
  • Conducting industry research for media interview preparation
  • Researching trade shows and speaking opportunities
  • Assisting with business development research
  • Updating client media lists using Cision
  • Assisting with consumer and trade media relations
