As senior vice president of BRG Communications (BRG), Shannon McDaniel brings more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience working with Fortune 500 corporations, corporate foundations, nonprofits and associations. While Shannon draws from decades of engagement across many industry sectors, he has a deep expertise and passion for building and activating integrated communications programs for clients with a mission to take on some of the top safety, health, wellness and social issues impacting our world today.
Specifically, Shannon has been recognized for award-winning programs in such areas as hunger relief, youth development, digital literacy, home safety, veteran support, bullying, workplace safety, online safety, disaster preparedness, medication safety, cardiovascular health, stroke prevention and more. Notable client engagements include National Honor Societies, National Association of Secondary School Principals, National Education Association Foundation, Food Research and Action Center, Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom, Walmart Foundation, Medtronic, AOL Corporation, NCR, Home Safety Council, Wyeth Pharmaceutical, American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and Georgia-Pacific.
Prior to joining BRG, Shannon spent the majority of his career in the Atlanta office of a top 10 global firm. In this role, Shannon was quickly recognized as a valuable media relations counselor to all primary practice areas – consumer brand, healthcare, business to business and technology. Major clients included Simmons Company (maker of the Beautyrest mattress), Delta Air Lines, Orkin Pest Control, Cox Communications and many others.
