As an associate account director for BRG Communications (BRG), Maureen Salazar develops and executes successful consumer awareness and cause marketing campaigns aimed at elevating brand reputation and recognition. Maureen provides clients with strategic counsel to meet their public relations and communications needs.
Maureen has led a number of accounts and implemented communications programs related to social determinants of health, women’s economic empowerment, community wellness, disaster relief and resilience and more. Maureen has a proven track record of strong results in media campaigns, executive thought leadership and visibility and digital and social campaigns.
At BRG, Maureen has worked with clients including Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, the Aetna Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Life with Cancer, Savant Capital Management and more. Previously, Maureen has worked with Netflix, NPR, and the Washington, D.C. International Film Festival.
Maureen graduated from George Mason University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor Spanish. Maureen also holds a Master of Arts from American University in Strategic Communication. She is an active volunteer with the Junior League of Washington and on the board of Sarah’s Charities, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting homelessness.
