As significant health challenges, such as the increase in chronic diseases, substance use disorders and the long-lasting impact of COVID-19 continued to rise, the American College of Preventive Medicine challenged BRG to increase awareness and understanding of the specialty and engage their membership in this effort. As part of a multifaceted education campaign, This is Preventive Medicine, BRG recruited, trained and activated a network of ACPM members to help amplify the campaign message in communities nationwide.
The multi-year initiative has engaged more than 100 physician ambassadors in 50 markets as voices to promote the mission-critical work they do to improve population health. Ambassadors are trained and equipped with multimedia educational resources including video assets, social media tools, templated materials and user-generated content showcasing ACPM members. Through this effort, ACPM members have showcased the power of prevention through local, national and industry media interviews, as part of grassroots activations, in meetings and presentations to national and local government officials, among medical students considering a career in preventive medicine, and to healthcare leaders in hospitals and health systems.
