Every Heart Counts: Closing the Gap in America’s Cardiology Deserts

The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) set out to close a dangerous gap: counties across the country with not a single practicing cardiologist. That’s where BRG came in, building Every Heart Counts, a national campaign grounded in real data and built to reach the communities hit hardest.

How We Did It

  • Let the data lead. A national consumer-insight survey of 2,200 U.S. adults quantified the need and grounded the campaign in real-world evidence
  • Built a brand from scratch. A new visual identity, including a campaign logo, gave the program a distinct, recognizable presence
  • Amplified trusted voices. A radio media tour and audio news release featuring 1:1 interviews with Dr. Andrea Phillips carried the message to diverse audiences nationwide
  • Went local where it mattered most. Targeted outreach in priority markets (Atlanta, Jackson, Little Rock, and New Orleans) paired national data with market-specific heart-health stats

The Results

The campaign generated 488 original media stories and 642M+ impressions, including 25 interviews. Priority-market outreach secured 19 local placements and 2.45M+ impressions in communities with the message was needed most.
