What we look for when we’re hiring an account manager:
We’re seeking someone with about 4-6 years of relevant experience who possesses strong media relations, writing, research and social media skills. Our ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated person who excels as part of a close-knit team. He or she is confident, creative, smart, and naturally checks his/her ego at the door each morning. Of course, our ideal candidate is interested in working with companies, non-profits and industry organizations that focus on improving people’s safety, health and general well-being. Does this sound like you or someone you know?
Job duties include:
- Consumer and trade media relations, story development, pitching and interview coordination
- Media outreach strategy development across safety, health and wellness verticals and various media types
- Website content development, migration and management
- Creation of social media content and implementation of social media tools/tactics
- Writing and editing press releases, case studies, Op-eds, bylines and other materials, as needed
- Creative idea/opportunity generation, trend spotting, industry analysis and reporting
- Research and media audits for current and potential client recommendations
- Interpretation of client environment, competitive landscape and industry trends
- Managing results tracking and merchandising projects
- Oversee and manage vendor relationships within predetermined budgets
